ThI inevitably end up forwarding this information an unending amount of times to every one who inquires about a puppy. Whether or not they are simply inquiring or seriously looking. So to simplify everything, I'm going to try and cover all the important parts. PLEASE READ THROUGH ENTIRELY- don't just skim!!
First- I do have a waiting list, I try my best to fill every ones Boston and Boxer dream, however please be patient with me. My waiting list can be confusing! If I contact you about a puppy please respond ASAP, if your no longer interested that's ok too! Just let me know, I will wait no longer then 24 hours for your response before moving on. If I take a deposit and our relationship doesn't evolve in the best interest of the puppy, I can and will contact you to refuse the sale. This is for the safety of the puppy, nothing personal.
Health Information
All of my puppies will have at least one vet visits before they come home. Tails and dew claws are done at 3 days, along with first check up.
I remove dew claws to prevent future injury. At this age they are loosely connected and easily removed, most heal with out even a scar.
Boston's are born with stub/corkscrew tails. I don't have them docked. This is something that is only specific to certain breeds and my vet doesn't suggest it for this breed.
Boxers will have tails docked. This is to prevent the possibility of growth in the future. At this age it is soft cartilage and a very simple procedure to remove. As adults it's a considerably more complicated procedure requiring anesthesia .
We don't crop ears, we don't recommend getting ears cropped on Boxers. It is a preference thing and can be done, but is not done before they go home.
The first set of shots is at 6 weeks. Second set is at 8 weeks before they leave for home. I start de-worming at 2 weeks with Strongid, they will be de-wormed every 2 weeks until 8 weeks old unless instructed by the vet otherwise.
Puppies MUST stay with mom until 8 weeks-they are learning crucial socializing skills that will make them better family members. They must be picked up when they are 8 weeks, I do not hold puppies that are 8 weeks or older. It’s important that they go to their forever homes so they can bond with their family. If 8 weeks approaches, and no arrangements have been made for pick-up. The puppy will be offered to the next person on the list. This means that you agree to forfeit your deposit on that puppy. Although I love my puppies, I can’t give them the individual attention that their forever family will. I do however allow my families, once the deposit is secured, to visit after 4 weeks of age as often as they can in order to allow the puppy some familiarity with the family it is going with. You simply send a text and we will work out a playtime.
Although studies have shown puppies carry antibodies from mom until at least 8 weeks, we still choose to vaccinate before then. For this reason we say "Only peak until 4 weeks of age".
Puppy will need vaccinated again at 12 weeks and 16 weeks.
I highly recommend you take the time to research vaccinations- many dogs are carrying immunity from vaccinations much longer then traditional vaccine schedules suggest. ie: annual vaccinations working for 3+ years. Titer tests can be done by your vet, they will show what immunity your dog is already carrying.
Puppy will come with health certificate from vet, and a STARTING amount of the food they have been eating. (4 Health Grain Free Puppy)
I do encourage all of my puppies be fixed when age appropriate. That said, sex hormones play very important roles in bone growth. Fixing your dog before they are mature may cause a number of future health issues. I encourage no sooner then 8 months, ideally a year old, no later then 13 months. Females must complete their first heat before being spayed. Your vet will probably want to do it sooner- Insist on waiting!
Contract
The contract states much of what I have just wrote. The puppy will come healthy with all accompanying paper work, AKC registration if applicable. You have 30 days to have your vet assess your puppy and give a clear bill of health, if puppy does not pass you can return it for a REFUND MINUS DEPOSIT or exchange puppy for another pick when available.
If you voluntarily forgoe having your veterinarian asses your puppy with in 30 days, the health guarantee is VOID. Deposits are not refundable for any reason.
- As a breeder I strive to produce happy healthy babies, however on occasion Mother Nature may intervene. The price of the puppy will NOT be negotiated, and the breeder will NOT be responsible for any future vet care. This is a condition that will be disclosed before you take possession of the puppy, at their 8 week check up. This is an anomaly and not a common occurrence, any situations will be handled individually.
-All puppies are sold as companion, pet animals! Encouraging you to spayed/neutered no earlier than 8 months, or later then 1yr 1 month( some exceptions with cycling females)
-Puppy MUST be picked up at 8 weeks. (Some exceptions can be discussed). Not having plans for pick-up, lack of communication regarding pick-up or not showing up for pick-up will result in forfeiture of deposit the puppy was held on. Any additional vet care after 8 weeks will be the responsibility of the new owner.
--You will love, feed, provide medical care, not tie puppy to a tree or leave in hot car. Pretty basic and straight forward.
-You will feed puppy a healthy food. Grain free is encouraged.
-Puppy returns to me if you can no longer keep it/even 6 years down the road. If you have a reliable alternate home, I must approve. I never want my dogs ending up in a shelter! That said, if you have a trust worthy friend/family who would like him/her, I will agree.
- When paying the remainder of your puppy upon pick up- it must be cash or PayPal. Check is only acceptable for deposit.
I reserve the right to deny sale, this includes returning a deposit, for any reason- these puppies are incredibly important to me. I only want the very best for them, and if it's not a good fit, no one will be happy. I have not only the puppies best interest, but yours in mind as well!
Shipping
Unfortunately, at this time I do not offer shipping for my puppies. The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs.
Pricing
Raising puppies is a passion of mine. However it is an expensive hobby. I do it because I love the breeds. Please remember as I raise your baby I also care for a farm, and 3 children!
Prices for the puppies will be discussed once we know your family is a great fit and what colors in Bostons and Boxers we have to offer as this sometimes makes a difference in the price. With that said, the price of your puppy will be explained in full so you understand why you are paying what you are paying should it be a rare color situation. Otherwise, once it has been decided,
ALL PUPPIES REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 200$ deposit/ THIS IS NON_REFUNDABLE.
LASTLY, there is a waiting list. This list is not set in stone, but helps me to keep everyone informed. Buying a puppy is super exciting, but please be patient. The list is simply a guideline to those who have been waiting for a future baby. Once I reach out, and 24 hours has passed and someone has not answered I WILL go on to the next person. If I have 12 people waiting and no one responds, I will proceed with advertising. Should you come around after that; please note: the puppy you were "waiting" for could be gone. If I reach out, YOU NEED TO ANSWER. 24 Hours is the window!! With that said, I am very excited to introduce you to the loves of my life, and ecstatic to share it with you through one of my puppies!
If you are interested in a puppy please text or call me @ 419-392-1442
